Fidden Farm and the Isle of Mull

June 28, 2018

On the remote West coast of the Isle of Mull you’ll find Fidden Farm Campsite. A spectacular place to camp with pitches right on the beach front. Campers get an uninterrupted view of the sea (ideal for seal spotting) and access to sandy beaches and rock pools when the tide’s out.

Fidden Farm is a working farm and you’ll probably end up sharing a pitch with a friendly sheep or two. The campsite’s a short distance away from the small village of Fionnphort, where you can take the ferry over to the Isle of Iona and explore its emerald green coves. The Creel Seafood Bar by the ferry port serves tasty fish and seafood snacks and there’s a village shop and post office for any basic supplies.

Fidden Farm Campsite is popular with families and has all the necessary amenities, including the all important toilet and shower block. This one is clean, spacious and has warm showers that are worth queuing for when the campsite is busy. They welcome tents and campervans, but it’s worth noting that at the time (we stayed in summer 2016) there was no electric hook up and payment was cash only.
