Galley Hill Farm Camping, Norfolk

March 3, 2019

Galley Hill Farm Camping is a simple campsite on the North Norfolk Coast. The site is a single field at the front of the owners house, it’s quiet and calm and has all the facilities needed. Booking ahead is recommended as there is a maximum number of campers allowed on the site to avoid it getting overcrowded. On this occasion, there was a slight mix up with numbers and the main field was full so we were directed to our own small pitch at the back of the house with views of the fields behind.

Galley Hill Farm Camping is about five minutes drive to Blakeney where you can do a spot of crabbing on the quay, take a boat trip out to see the seals and explore the quaint flint cottages. You can also walk the North Norfolk Coastal path past Cley windmill and on into Cley itself, where you could stop off at Cley Smokehouse for tasty fish or pop into the deli for other snacks and local foods. There’s a Spar and a deli in Blakeney for any supplies you might need. Make sure to also grab a coffee from Grey Seal Coffee or enjoy a meal at The White Horse Blankeney

The campsite is great for a trip to the coast and the location is ideal for Holkham, Wells-Next-to-the-Sea and Brancaster. Other places to mention are Wiverton Hall, The Art Cafe in Glandford, and the crab sandwiches from the Crab Hut in Brancaster Staithe
